The chorus of the song keeps repeating the question ‘are you satisfied with your average life.’ Clary is introduced to this whole new world and her life goes from ordinary to extraordinary in a minute. Before she was different and a dreamer just like the song says and then when she meets Jace, Izzy and Alec, her life changes forever and she begins to question everything.

If you listen to the lyrics the majority of them describe the book perfectly in my opinion.”
