Today we’re thrilled to have Susane Colasanti stopping by to share one of her “10 Rules for a Spectacular Summer” on her blog tour for her new very summery book All I Need. We have rule #4, and it’s a fun one! Check back next week for our review of the book, and scroll down to enter to win your own copy!

Rule 4: Host a spa day

What better time to pamper yourself than the summer? There’s more time to chill. And with all the skin you’re showing, of course you want to look your best. Your room can easily be transformed into Spa Central. Mix a few face masks using simple ingredients from the kitchen (search for “face mask natural ingredients” for tons of recipes). Get some bright shades of nail polish (I like the Love & Beauty line from Forever 21). Make a fruit infusion by putting lemon, lime, and strawberry slices in a refrigerated pitcher of water overnight (drinking water instead of soda will make your skin appear brighter…and will make you much healthier overall). Then invite your friends over for a day of indulgence!

About All I Need:

All I Need by Susane Colasanti

The last night of summer is only the beginning.

Skye wants to meet the boy who will change her life forever. Seth feels their instant connection the second he sees her. When Seth starts talking to Skye at the last beach party of the summer, it’s obvious to both of them that this is something real. But when Seth leaves for college before they exchange contact info, Skye wonders if he felt the same way she did–and if she will ever see him again. Even if they find their way back to each other, can they make a long-distance relationship work despite trust issues, ex drama, and some serious background differences?

Teen favorite Susane Colasanti returns to the alternating-voice style of her beloved debut When It Happens in this Serendipity-inspired story about summer, soul mates, and the moments that change our lives forever.

So, I’m supposed to host a spa day for myself?!? DONE. SO DONE! As long as it includes the slushy drink, too. Cheers, Susane!

I am looking forward to the beach:)

  3.

Oh man. I want on that beach with that drink in hand right this minute. It’s currently hot and rainy here, so I wouldn’t mind in the least if I suddenly developed the ability to teleport and could go to that beach. *sigh* I’m really excited for this book!!!!!

  4.

A spa day sounds spectacular right about now. Is this something we can do weekly? lol

I’m excited for the summer just so I can hang out on my swing and read in the shade while my kids play in their little pool and slip n’ slide. 🙂

I am all for the pampering! Bring it on! 😛

I really want to read this one! I didn’t get a chance to pick it up on Tuesday but I definitely will be. I love all of her books.

Ohh, a spa day sounds like heaven after a full day at the Uni. I’ve only read one book by Colasanti, When It Happens, and I really liked it a lot, so I have a feeling I’d love this one too. I was in a long distance relationship for three whole years so I know I’d totally connect to these characters.
Thanks for sharing! I can’t wait to read your review.

  10.

Oooo that drink idea sounds totally splendid.

  11.

I would love to be on the beach with a drink or having a spa day

  12.

Can you believe I have never read a book by this author? That needs to change. I am so into reading sweet fluffy summer reads right now. Especially since our temperature plunged the last couple of days. I was freaking 48 degrees here yesterday. It feels like winter! I just want some sunshine!

    Kristi

I’m most looking forward to relaxing on the beach this summer. It’s my go to place whenever I need to unwind and have fun!

  14.

Spa party at my house! (for those over 21 we can add a little captain to that drink) yeah I could totally get behind this idea! This looks like such a cute romance too, thanks for sharing it.

  15.

The beach and a good book please 🙂

  21.

Oh all this summer stuff has me excited for my vacation this summer! It’s not anything fancy, just a trip home to SD, but still I know we’ll be spending days at the lake and parks and doing all kinds of fun stuff. I haven’t read any of her books yet but I really want to!

  22.

Susane Colasanti writes great, relatable books and this one sounds really cute.

I could really, really use a spa day. Love that infused water! I’ve started making lots of iced tea (herbal, regular, green) as the weather warms up here.

  26.

I will never say no to a spa day. 😉 I haven’t read anything from Susane Colasanti before, but a friend of mine is a huge fan, so I hope I can make a start on her books soon. Thanks for sharing!

  30.
    Justine

    Outdoor festivals!

  31.

I’m looking forward to wearing shorts without people questioning me. I wear short all year because I like to, but most people go “How can you wear shorts in this weather?” BECAUSE I WANT TO. Hahah.

It is sitting by the pool with several good books to read, getting a nice tan, and that ice cold lemonade that say “Ahhhhh, Summer…”
