Scott Westerfeld’s Midnighters series has been developed into a new drama for Fox by Chuck creators Chris Fedak and Josh Schwartz, who will produce in coordination with Fake Empire, Alloy Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television. Midnighters follows teens all born at the stroke of midnight who have access to the 25th hour of the day.

Alyson Noel’s Soul Seekers series, beginning with Fated, is viewed by Arnold Rifkin of Cheyenne Enterprises as the next Hunger Games/Twilight level YA franchise. He has optioned film rights on the series.

Director Guillermo Del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Pacific Rim) recently confirmed in an interview with Shock Til You Drop that his version of Frankenstein is back on track, though still a couple years in the making.

That’s awesome about Midnighters. I read that series in middle school and loved it!

Ok, does anyone else think Fated was….kind of awful? I don’t get why this is such a big deal. I hated it. I didn’t like her Evermore series either, so I guess Im just in the minority. She seems like a nice lady, I just don’t like her writing very much. Okay, rant over.

Yeah I wasn’t a fan either. I liked Evermore though. I think maybe I’m just tired of paranormal. lol. :)
