Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, a sort of campy Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter take on this classic Grimm’s fairy tale, finally has a trailer!
This new fairy tale adaptation gets poetic justice right—instead of playing sad little victims, Hansel and Gretel suit up, grab their weapons, and hunt some witches. 15 years after their first childhood encounter with a witch, they are leatherclad bounty hunters working off a serious grudge. Personally, I’m excited to see them get a little payback (not at all because the witch’s oven part of the story gave me nightmares as a kid. Nope.).
The movie stars Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton star as the head-butting, weapon-toting siblings, and comes out Jan. 11, 2013.

Jeremy Renner, first Bourne, now this? This actually looks kinda cool. And at least he’s not crash driving a franchise. I’ll probably check it out.
