Behind the Scenes: Neil Burger in Talks to Direct Divergent Movie

For those of you excited to actually SEE Dauntless daredevils jumping from moving trains and ziplining down skyscrapers, you’ll be happy to know Summit Entertainment is working hard to bring that vision to the big screen.

Neil Burger (Limitless, The Illusionist) is in talks to direct the film based on Veronica Roth’s NYT best-selling Divergent. Summit also has rights to the sequel, Insurgent, as well.

Evan Dougherty (Snow White & the Huntsman) already penned a script for the film, but no word yet on whether that will be revised if writer-director Burger officially joins the project.

Once the director is nailed down, Tris and Four casting can’t be far behind……

Let’s do this already—we are SO ready for Divergent Chicago action!
