Library Magic: Abandoned Texas Walmart Transformed Into Award-Winning Library
For those who say magic doesn’t happen in real life, I give you tangible proof that it does. An abandoned Walmart in McAllen, Texas underwent a fairy godmother level makeover at the hands of architecture firm Meyer, Scherer & Rockcastle, Ltd. They transformed the expansive space into the new McAllen Public Library, which was just awarded the 2012 Library Interior Design Award.
