Jena Malone Offered the Role of Johanna Mason in Catching Fire

We’ve followed the Catching Fire casting rumors religiously, and last time we checked in, Jena Malone (Sucker Punch) was in the lead for the role of Johanna Mason.
Now according to an “exclusive” from The Hollywood Reporter, Jena has been offered the part.
Lionsgate has yet to confirm the casting or the offer.
What do you think—will Jena make a convincing Johanna?

UGH I am not a fan of her. I hope she turns it down so Naya Rivera can take it!
tbh, i had my sights set on kristen bell. then i saw the post you did a while back about the candidates for johanna and how jenna was first choice, and i looked her over and remembered what she can do, and thought ok, i see her even more than kristen. so i really hope she says yes to the part. i just hope she can bring enough of the snarky part of johanna cause she seems good on the damaged part.
I’m a big Jena Malone fan, but I gotta say i was really hoping Kristen Bell would get it. She’s so freaking awesome. Veronica Mars, Heroes, and just at life too.
I really hoped Kristen Bell would get the part. I imagine her when I think of the next 2 movies…
