Taylor Kitsch: Finnick “Not going to happen”
Much to the dismay of many Tim Riggins/FNL-loving Hunger Games fans, Taylor Kitsch has confirmed that he has no plans to take on everyone’s favorite sexy District 4 Victor, Finnick Odair, despite reports that he was one of the final three actors vying for the role.
MTV’s Josh Horowitz is probably saying a pretty big “I toldja so” right about now. He rained on Stephenie Meyer’s Finnick parade during their interview on the set of The Host.

Where do we go from here? Well we still have Armie Hammer and Garrett Hedlund to cheer on.
But more importantly, I think someone seriously needs to find out what Taylor has against Finnick. Is the second movie in a record-setting blockbuster series too much of a sure thing for the Kitsch? Does he only go for the big gambles, the movies that cost a fortune and have every likelihood of flopping spectacularly? Is he on a personal mission to make Kitsch a synonym for bombing? As in, “that movie Kitsched so hard it took down an entire wing of Disney”?
UPDATE: Producer Nina Jacobson has squashed all Finnick casting rumors. However, the Riggins rejection stands.

I can’t believe he’s not interested! So lame. Is he blind or stupid? this would make him a huge star, not a movie killer. wasn’t he just in that other big movie that failed (not john carter). You’re right, he’s going to be a bad name in Hollywood if he doesn’t choose something that hits soon
